Hot Spots: Paris

Paris is full of never-ending excitement. I personally believe the best way to see Paris is to get lost. Pick a starting point and just keep walking. You are almost always guaranteed to stumble upon something incredible! If nothing else, the scenery of Paris is enough to take your breath away.

After 6 months of living in Paris I have done my fair share of sightseeing and eating my way around the city! Here is a list of some of my favorite places to eat, drink, and explore throughout Paris. (Check out the map at the bottom!)

Restaurants

Benedict - All of you eggs benedict brunch dreams have come true! This hip and modern spot is ideal for an incredible brunch experience! The sweet potatoes are amazing!

Cafe Boheme - Everything about this place is amazing. Food, vibes, decor, and staff were all outstanding! Be sure to order the Sweet Potato!

Cafe Fou Fou - Don't let the cafe size fool you! Their avocado toast game is strong!

Cafe Kitsune - This foxy little cafe is located in the gardens of the Palais Royal. Sip your yummy drink while surrounded by beautiful scenery. (Kitsune means fox in Japanese)

Croco - Situated along a restaurant lined street in Le Marais, you are sure to find something delicious! They offer amazing veggie and non-veggie options. Their cheese board is a must.

Derriere - A hidden gem! This unique menu might be a little pricey but definitely worth every penny! Make sure to get the figs!

Holybelly 5 - An Aussie inspired menu in Paris! The decor is as beautiful as the food! Give the yogurt bowl a try.

L'as du Fallafel - World. Famous. Falafel. For a reason! When you see the long line of people down Rue des Rosiers you will know you have made it to Fallafel heaven.

Laduree - Famous macaroons (and my personal favorites)! Their shop on Champs Elysee has a full menu including insane desserts and delicious teas!

Le Bastille - My late night go to since it is open 23 hours! Their menu has anything you could possibly be wanting at 3 am.

Le Dome - A culinary experience for the seafood lover.

Le Marche Enfants Rouge - If you love food stalls then this is the place! Every cuisine you could want in a compact space.

Love Juice Bar - If a smoothie bowl is what you are looking for then look no further! This small spot does not disappoint! Try their date bombs.

Maison Sauvage - A scene out of a movie! Ambiance, food, people watching, and decor are a 10!

Marcelle - One of those places when everything on the menu looks appealing. Their brunch is pretty quality.

Monsieur Bleu - Fine dining with views of the Eiffel Tower. Come to see and be seen!

Ob-la-di - The cutest cafe with delicious food and amazingly sweet staff!

Paperboy - In this trendy cafe brunch is served all day! Eggs, yogurt bowls, acai bowls, and veggie options with a hint of Japanese flavor! Also, you can color your placemat!

Pavillon Des Canaux - Have you ever wanted to drink your coffee in the bathtub? Well, now you can! This house turned eclectic cafe is certainly one of a kind.

Pink Mamma - A current trendy hotspot for delicious pizza, pasta, and more. Part of the Big Mamma restaurant group, this location is just down the street from the Moulin Rouge. (Check out their other amazing spot Pizzeria Popolare)

Pratolina - The best Gnocchi I have ever eaten! Authentic Italian cooking.

Radiodays - This cafe is serving up some delicious food! Their yogurt bowls are wonderful!

Season - One of the trendy brunch spots in Paris offering acai bowls, pancakes with moringa, delicious salads, and more!

Shakespeare and Co - This famous bookstore and cafe is a must when in Paris. It is located near Notre Dame.

Sunday in Soho - Serving up good vibes every day with delicious menu options! Brunch is always a good idea.

Umami - This one is for the Matcha lover! From lattes to cookies and even a Hello Kitty Petite Dejeuner, your Matcha passion will be fulfilled.

Wild and the Moon - The best vegan spot in Paris. Smoothies, juices, acai bowls, and great foods!

Nightlife

Espit Chupitos - This bar is the place to go for a fun time! They specialize in shots and have boards full of different shots to choose from! It is more fun when you don't know what you are going to get!

Le Perchoir - Trendy rooftop bar above BHV Le Marais. Amazing cocktails, cool vibes, and gorgeous views.

Rosa Bonheur Sur Seine - A groovy spot on the river to sip drinks and dance with a view of the Eiffel Tower.

Sights

Arc De Triomphe - One of the most popular sights in Paris and for a great reason! This monumental structure is surrounded by a crazy roundabout at the end of the Champs Elysse and it is epic! Just as amazing as the Arc is the view from the top! Stand under and on top of the arc for only 12 Euro! (Free for 26-year-olds and under!)

Atelier Des Lumieres - An immersive art experience that is not to be missed! Currently, they are featuring the work of artist Gustav Klimt until January 6th.

Centre Pompidou - This modern art museum is as amazing inside as outside. It even offers a view of the Eiffel Tower!

Disneyland Paris - Everything you love about Disney but in Paris! Located just 40 minutes outside of Paris and full of fun!

Eiffel Tower - One of the most famous monuments in the world! Enjoy the view from the bottom or ride up to the top!

Galeries Lafayette - This department store looks like a work of art! The inside is gorgeous and filled with high-end designer brands. Take the escalators up to the top and enjoy the rooftop view!

Grand Palais - A historic site and museum.

Jardin Du Luxembourg - A gorgeous 56-acre garden which houses the Luxembourg Palace.

La Villette - The third largest park in Paris. This area is filled with activites including shows, art, events, and more!

Lourve - The world's largest art museum and home to the Mona Lisa.

Musee D'Orsay - What was once a railway station is now home to a stunning art museum consisting of mostly French art from 1848-1914.

Musee L'Orangerie - An art gallery of impressionist and post impressionist paintings. It is also home to Monet's Waterlillies.

Notre Dame - The famous medieval cathedral.

Palace Opera Garnier - One of the most famous Opera houses in the world. It was the setting for the novel the Phantom of the Opera.

Palais Royal - A palace and gardens surrounded by shops and cafes.

Pantheon - This gorgeous building functions as a secular mausoleum containing the remains of distinguished French citizens

Petite Palais - An art museum housing the City of Paris Museum of Fine Arts.

Place des Vosges - The oldest square in Paris that now is filled with shops and cafes.

Rue Cremieux - The most colorful (and Instgrammable) street in Paris. This cobblestoned street is lined with colorful houses.

Sacre Coeur  - The Basilica of the Sacred Heart of Paris is a must-see for both the incredible architecture and the views!

Sainte Chapelle - A gothic style chapel featuring stunning stsined glass.

Vedettes Du Pont Neuf Seine Cruise - Paris maybe even more beautiful from the water!

Versailles - Located west of Paris, the Palace and Gardens of Versaille is worth the journey!

Wall of Love - A wall with 'I Love You' written 311 times in 250 languages.

Areas

Bastille - A This area is generally happening and full of trendy bars, record stores, and private galleries.

Champs-Élysées - What I refer to as the Times Square of Paris but nicer. This avenue is lined with shops and restaurants as far as the eye can see! It even houses the Arc de Triomphe.

Latin Quarter - Once home to Latin-speaking students, the 5th and 6th arrondissement is now home to gorgeous tree-lined streets, gorgeous sights, lively restaurants, and jazz clubs.

Le Marais - Spanning the 3rd and 4th arrondissement, this area is home to trendy shopping, restaurants, art galleries, and cafes.

Montmartre - What was once home to many famous artists is now a popular area to sightsee and explore. You can find adorable cafes and tons of artist filled streets waiting to draw a sketch of you!

Oberkampf/Republique - Not too far from Bastille, these areas also offer up groovy bars, unique shops, and delicious food.
